With seven weeks to go, the Jam is a truly global event with Jams in preparation on six continents. And it's not to late to start new Jams - all you need is a few friends (or strangers) and a room... join us!

First organiser's Q&A this week...

on Tue, 09/06/2011 - 14:58

Are you involved in organising a Jam?  Then join us at the live organiser's Q&A this week. It's your opportunity to ask anything you like about the Jam, and share ideas live with other Jam Hosts.

We'll be chatting at several times on the 8th of September (7th and 9th too, in some time zones). Check out the Basecamp to get all the details!

(If you're a Host, and don't have Basecamp access, you're missing out. Contact us today!)

The winning logo...

on Tue, 08/09/2011 - 00:16

Congratulations to Noémia Guarda from the Oporto Jam who designed our winning logo! Noémia was one of our youngest competitors, and is a student of Graphic Design at Esad, the School of Arts and Design.

It was a tough competition, and our judges had several favourites, but in the end Noémia's design convinced the majority.  Our gratitude goes to Jase Cooper (the designer of our GSJ11 jam jars) as well as Marc Stickdorn of TiSDT, and Lauren Currie, Sarah Drummond and Kirsty Sinclair of Snook for their brilliant input.

Logo competition - you had 48 hours.

The winning logo will be announced this week!

Last Spring, at the Global Service Jam , UK designer Jase Cooper kindly designed and donated the brilliant jam jar logo which was adopted and adapted by each location into a beautiful variety of different local logos.  For the Global Sustainability Jam, we want to repeat this success -  but with a different starting idea.

We need a logo which can do two jobs:

i. it can serve at the official logo for the Global Sustainability Jam, on pages like this and worldwide.
